The short version: you don't need an account, your game progress is saved in your browser, and when you finish a round we receive an anonymous summary of it. You can switch that off. Our server also keeps basic access logs for 14 days.
What we save on your device
To remember your progress, stats, streaks and settings between visits, the Site saves them in your browser. This stays on your device unless this page says otherwise. Some games also keep a recording of your recent attempts so they can replay them. Recordings of a daily level are deleted after 7 days; a free-play level keeps its recordings until you start a new one. If you save a replay as a video, it is made on your device and downloaded to it. It is never uploaded. The Cookie Policy lists exactly what is stored.
What we collect when you play
When you finish a round, your browser sends us a short summary of it. We receive:
- the game, the mode (daily or practice), the puzzle, the difficulty, the date of the round and how it ended;
- the number of tries, how many lies you caught and how many fooled you, and how long you actively played;
- a summary of your moves. For Gaslit, the words you guessed, which tile lied on each row and whether you caught it, and in practice the answer. For Trust Issues, what killed you and where, whether you gave up, and whether slow mode was on. For Psychodoku, the cells you accused, whether each was a forgery, how the round ended, and whether instant verdicts were on.
With each request we also get:
- a device class (phone, tablet or desktop) and whether you opened the Site as an installed app;
- your country, looked up from your IP address. The IP address is used in memory for that lookup and for rate limiting, and is not stored with the stats;
- the UTC hour at which we received the summary. We do not receive the time of day from your device.
Install ID. Your browser makes a random ID the first time it has a round to send, and sends it with each summary. It lets us count players, not people. It is pseudonymous: it is not linked to your name, email or account, and we have none of those. It is stored on your device, replaced after 13 months, and forgotten on our side after 400 days without a visit. If your browser can only store data in memory (some private modes), rounds are sent without an ID.
What we do not collect: names, emails, accounts, your full IP address with the stats, user-agent strings, screen sizes, or anything about pages other than finished rounds.
Why. To see which games and puzzles work and where players come from. We do not sell this data, share it with anyone for their own use, or use it for ads.
How long. Round summaries are kept for 180 days on the live database. Daily totals built from them are kept. Backups, and an internal analytics copy made from them, may keep round summaries longer, without the install ID. Installs with no visit for 400 days are removed.
Your choices. Choose Don't send stats on the storage notice, or turn off Send anonymous round stats in Settings. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, stats start off. When you opt out, your device sends one anonymous signal, with no ID, so we can count how many people opt out. After that, no round summaries are sent. Nothing is sent until you answer the storage notice.
Who stores it. The summaries are stored by Supabase, a hosted database provider acting on our behalf. We do not currently state a hosting region here; ask us if you need it.

What our server sees
Like any website, our server logs each request: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use these logs only to keep the Site running and safe, and we delete them after 14 days.
Ads and online features
The Site may show ads in the future, and may add things like leaderboards or saved progress online. Ads would not use your install ID. If that happens, this page will be updated first, and we will ask for your permission where needed.
Deleting your data
Open Settings and press Delete all my data, or clear this site's data in your browser. Delete all my data also asks our server to forget your install ID. Round summaries already sent stay in our totals, unlinked from you; they never had your name on them. If you are offline, the request is sent the next time you visit.
Children
The Site is not meant for children under 13.
